Every 5,000 yrs a door opens between dimension. In one dimension lies the universe and all of its multitude of various life form. In another exist and element not of earth, air, fire, &water, but is ant-energy, anti-life. This thing, this darkness, waits at the threshold of the universe for an opportunity to extiguish all life and all light. Every 5,000 years, the universe needs a hero, and in New York City in 23rd century,a good hero is hard to find.
